Energy saving for homeowners

Whether you’re looking for more information on heating or insulating your home with energy efficient products, we’re here to help.

There are many schemes available that target different areas and properties which help fund or incentivise homeowners to install energy saving measures. There’s usually a lot of information to take in, so we help our customer find the most suitable scheme, apply on their behalf (where possible), and manage the entire process from start to finish. We take the time to get to know our customer and their home, allowing us to design the most suitable renewable or energy saving system for their property.

Insulation alone can save a typical household up to 40% on heating bills!

How can I save energy at home?

With energy bills at an all-time high, saving energy has never mattered more.

Insulating your home will help prevent heat loss and save you on heating costs. Updating an old heating system will also help reduce fuel bills and lower your carbon emissions. There are grants and schemes available that can help you with the upfront costs of improving your home.

We recommend that you speak to one of our friendly energy saving specialists. They know how to assess your situation and talk you through the energy saving schemes that are available including ECO4 and the Great British Insulation Scheme. If you’re not eligible for one scheme, you may be eligible for another, and our team will be able to advise you on this.

energy upgrades for homeowners

What schemes are available to homeowners?

There are a range of grants and funding for eligible homeowners. What is available to you will depend on your circumstances and what energy efficient measure you are looking to install.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) pays out £7,500 towards the cost of an air source heat pump or a ground source heat pump. This could equate to around 30-50% of the installation costs depending on the system you choose.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme aims to reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. Eligibility for the ECO scheme is based on a certain criteria, and it could pay for your energy saving upgrades in full or with a small contribution required.

The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), though not a scheme as such, will pay you for any surplus energy generated by your solar panels.
